Born on March 31, 1940, Jim Ziemer has cherished his talent for drawing and painting throughout his life. While he initially prioritized earning a living, his retirement to the Chesapeake Bay area in 2003 marked a turning point. It was then that Jim's artistic endeavors flourished, with a focus on wildlife, scenery, boats, and the boating history of the region. In 2009, he moved to Brunswick, Georgia, where his artistry continued to evolve, capturing the unique wildlife and offering commissioned portraits. While Jim is self-taught, his natural observational skills and ability to render realism are evident in his work.
